St. Mary's City, Md. - The St. Mary's College of Maryland Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) announced Friday that the annual Special Olympics Field Day has been pushed back two week from Sunday, March 25 to Sunday, April 8. The event was rescheduled due to soggy field conditions at Seahawk Stadium, where the event is held on the campus of St. Mary's College.
SAAC looks forward to you joining them on April 8 for a fantastic event for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. St. Mary's 19 varsity athletic programs will have different stations set up around Seahawk Stadium where athletes can either test their skill at a new game or create a masterpiece. The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
In addition, SAAC will also be collecting non-perishable items to donate to the Food Pantry at The Church of the Ascension - Patuxent Parish located at 21641 Great Mills Road in Lexington Park. For a complete list of Food Pantry needs, click here and scroll down to Food Locker.
See you on April 8th at 11:00 a.m.!
