This is the first time since 2003 two Seahawks have picked up All-Region First Team honors following in the footsteps of St. Mary's Athletic Hall of Famers Alun Oliver '04, the current Seahawk head coach, and Brian Wolcott '05.

Kearson and Balogun rack up their third straight All-South Atlantic Region selections. Kearson is a repeat first-teamer after garnering the same honor last season and adding a second-team selection in 2016. Balogun has moved up a team each season, going from the third team as a first-year to landing on the first team for the first time ever this year. To date, St. Mary's has notched 21 all-region awards by 10 different players.

Kearson closed out his Capital Athletic Conference career as a four-time all-conference pick, earning first-team awards each of the last three seasons. The 5-8 midfielder contributed a game-winning goal and an assist this season. He notched the game-winner in a 3-0 victory at Washington College on September 5.

For his career, Kearson played in 73 of 76 possible games with 72 starts. He tallied 50 points on 17 goals and 16 assists with seven game-winning goals. He ranks third all-time in minutes played (5,531), fourth in games started (72), tied for seventh in game-winning goals and games started, and tied for eighth in assists.

The 2016 CAC Rookie of the Year, Balogun collected his third straight All-CAC First Team award after leading the conference in all offensive categories with 12 goals, seven assists, 31 points, and 72 shots. The 6-4 forward notched a career-best five points (two goals, one assist) twice in wins over Randolph-Macon College (Sep. 12) and The Catholic University of America (Oct. 2). Balogun also had a career-high two assists in a victory over DeSales University on September 22.

The Seahawks finished the 2018 campaign ranked sixth in the South Atlantic region by the USC. St. Mary's clinched the No. 2 seed in the CAC Tournament for the second straight season and fourth time in program history. The Seahawks posted a 12-4-4 (4-2-1 CAC) overall record for their third consecutive 10-win season and fourth in the last five years. St. Mary's dropped a heartbreaking 1-0 decision to top-seeded and No. 12 University of Mary Washington in the CAC final.
