Seahawk Women’s Rowing Competes against No. 11 Washington College and La Salle

Chestertown, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's rowing team competed on the Chester River on Saturday in a regatta against No. 11 Washington College and Division I La Salle University.

How It Happened 

  • The regatta opened up with varsity four. The Seahawks would finish in third place with a time of 11:30.81. La Salle would finish in the first-place position, clocking in at 10:08.14, followed by Washington College in 10:47.59.
  • St. Mary's would finish second to Washington College in the junior varsity eight with a time of 9:22.68. The Shorewomen won the race in 8:43.21.
  • In the varsity eight race, the Seahawks would place third, earning a time of 9:17.51. Washington College would take the first-place spot, finishing in 8:43.46. La Salle came in second and clocked in at 9:00.31.
