Women’s Rowing Finishes Fourth in Points Standings at Washington College Invite

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's rowing team finished fourth of eight teams in the points standings at the Washington College Invite on Saturday (Mar. 30) on the Chester River. The Seahawks finished behind Division I opponent St. Joseph's, No. 8 Wellesley, and defending conference champions Washington College.

How It Happened

  • In the first varsity eight, the Seahawks finished third in their heat with a time of 7:17.09. St. Mary's College went on to finish second in the petite final with a time of 5:48.39, defeating Bryn Mawr and Cabrini.

  • The Seahawks second varsity eight finished third in their heat with at time of 7:16.42. In the petite final, the second varsity eight finished third, defeating Bryn Mawr with a time of 6:15.34.
