Fredericksburg, Va. – First-year Brenna Litynski (Hollywood, Md./Home-schooled) earned the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week award for the week ending November 4.
Litynski garnered CAC Athlete of the Week accolades after racing to three individual and three relay wins last week in a pair of meets for the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's swim team.
She started the week by anchoring the first-place 400 medley and 400 freestyle relays at Randolph-Macon College. Litynski also won the 200 freestyle in 2:02.21.
Litynski's top times came the next day against York College of Pennsylvania, as she touched first in both the 200 freestyle (1:57.18) and the 100 freestyle (54.49). Both freestyle times rank first in the CAC this season, while her 200 freestyle mark is 18th in Division III. She also anchored the winning 200-medley relay.
The Seahawks (1-2, 0-1 CAC) will be back in action this Saturday, November 10, traveling to western Maryland to take on Frostburg State University in a league dual meet at 1:00 p.m.
