Westminster, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's swim team (2-5) captured five events Saturday afternoon but dropped a 66-47 decision to the Green Terror of McDaniel College (1-3) Saturday afternoon in a non-conference dual meet.

How It Happened
- Junior Hailley Baughman (Lineboro, Md./Manchester Valley) took the first top finish for St. Mary's on the day as Baughman swam a 1:51.64 in the 150 breaststroke. She also placed first in the 50 breaststroke as she swam a 31.85 and ended the meet with a second-place finish in the 100 individual medley (1:06.91).
- Junior Elizabeth Valenti (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard) claimed a first-place finish for St. Mary's in the 300 individual medley as Valenti swam a 3:41.26.
- Sophomore Carolyn Sutton (Laurel, Md./Laurel) swam a 29.58 in the 50 backstroke for first place. Sutton added a third-place finish in the 150 backstroke with a time of 1:43.23.
- Sutton, first-year Alekx Grcic (North Potomac, Md./Quince Orchard), senior captain Rachel Sonnenberg (Derwood, Md./Magruder) and first-year Anna LaPoint (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) teamed up in the 200 freestyle relay and posted a first-place finish with a time of 1:44.02.
- Sutton, Baughman, R. Sonnenberg and Grcic swam a 1:57.24 in the 200 medley relay, which was good enough for second place.
- R. Sonnenberg took second in the 150 butterfly with a time of 1:45.39 and senior captain Samantha Schoenecker (Dallas, Texas/Woodrow Wilson) captured second in the 50 butterfly as she swam a 30.92.
- LaPoint notched three individual second-place finishes in the 600 freestyle (6:35.07), the 150 freestyle (1:28.71), and the 50 freestyle (26.01).
