FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's swimming team (1-3) traveled to the University of Mary Washington to take on the Eagles (4-2) on Saturday (Nov. 9) afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference action. The Seahawks fell to the Eagles 172-73.

The Seahawks captured their first victory in Event 13 when Brenna Litynski swam a time of 25.41 in the 50 Yard Freestyle. Litynski followed that performance with another impressive showing, grabbing first-place in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 56.01.

Other notable Seahawk finishers included Elizabeth Johnson (3rd - 1,000 Yard Freestyle, 3rd - 500 Yard Freestyle), Carolyn Sutton (3rd - 100 Yard Backstroke, 2nd - 100 Yard Butterfly), Bailey Edgren (2nd - 100 Yard Breaststroke, 2nd - 200 Yard Breaststroke), Becca Sonnenberg (3rd - 200 Yard Butterfly), and Rileigh Krell (3rd - 200 Yard Backstroke).
