ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's swimming team (4-7, 2-2 CAC) hosted the Salisbury University Sea Gulls (5-4, 1-3 CAC) on Saturday (Jan. 25) afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference action. The Seahawks prevailed over the Sea Gulls by a final score of 112-87.

The Seahawks started the meet strong when the quartet of Rileigh Krell, Bailey Edgren, Carolyn Sutton, and Brenna Litynski won the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:52.05. Elizabeth Johnson followed in the next event by winning the 1,000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 11:36.61.

St. Mary's College continued their winning ways in the next event when Litynski swam a time of 1:59.08 to capture a first-place finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle. In event nine, Bailey Edgren recorded a first-place finish with a time of 2:29.24 in the 200 Yard IM.

Krell won the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:00.46. Litynski won her second event of the afternoon when she swam a time of 54.86 in the 100 Yard Freestyle. Next, Krell earned another first-place finish when she swam a time of 1:01.57 in the 100 Yard Backstroke. Lastly, Anna LaPoint won the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:28.0.
