Chestertown, MD-- The St. Mary's Women's Rowing squad opened their 2022-23 campaign today, (Oct.8) competing in the Chester Chase. The Seahawks competed against the Washington College Shorewomen.  

The 5k race took place on the Chester River.  

How it Happened:

• The Women's WV4 squad finished in between the Washington College A and B teams with a time of 30:20. The Shorewomen A team completed the race in 26:29, while the B team came across in 32:23. 

• The Seahawks Women's WV8+ group finished in front of their Shorewomen counterparts. St. Mary's finished the race in 25:50. Washington College crossed the line with a time of 26:07.
