Fairfax, VA-- The St. Mary's Women's Rowing Team competed in their last regatta of the fall season today (Nov. 5) at the Head of the Occoquan regatta in Fairfax, VA. The Seahawks competed against mostly Division I teams. The novice 8 group won a bronze medal in their first ever race.

How it Happened:

• Sydney West and Erin Rhodes came in first and second place in the 2M event. West completed the race in 26:09, while Rhodes came across the finish line in 26:15. 

• The women's varsity 8+ squad finished in seventh place in the 3D race with a time of 21:58.

• The women's varsity 4+ team finished the 4A race in eight place. They earned a time of 26:57.

• The women's varsity 4+ squad completed the 6B race in 22:39, earning a top three finish.

• The women's varsity 4+ squad competed in the 7D race to finish the day.The Seahawks came in sixth place and finished the race in 23:10.
