Washington, DC – The St. Mary's College of Maryland Men's Tennis Team traveled to our nation's capital for a matchup with the Catholic University Cardinals. The Seahawks would fall by a final score of 7-2. 

How It Happened:

Doubles

• Nick Rohr and Daoud Alkhalidi dropped the No.1 Doubles match by a score of 8-3.

• For the Seahawks in the No. 2 spot, Max Esztergomi and Keawe Johnson took down the Cardinals 8-5.

• Closing out doubles was Andrew Hand and Jack Hoehn. Hoehn and Hand fell to Catholic 8-4.

Singles 

• In the No.1 singles match, Nick Rohr lost in two sets with scores of 6-2 and 6-1.

• Keawe Johnson dropped a hard fought match in the No. 2 spot for the Seahawks. Johnson fell 6-3 in set one and lost in a tiebreaker in set two by a score of 7-6.

• Daoud Alkhalidi fell in two sets in the No. 3 doubles match, 6-2, 6-3.

• Max Esztergomi was able to tally another point for St. Mary's in the No. 4 singles match. Esztergomi took down his Cardinal opponent in two sets by scores of 6-3 and 6-4.

• Andrew Hand dropped both sets in the No. 5 match for the Seahawks, 6-1 and 6-2. 

• Jack Hoehn concluded the day for St. Mary's in the No. 6 singles match. Hoehn fell in two sets, 6-1 and 6-0.
