Hilton Head Island, SC. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland Men's Tennis team took on the Hornets of the University of Lynchburg on the road in their annual spring break trip to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The Seahawks are competing in the PTR Spring Tennis Fest with the University of Lynchburg and Washington College over a two-day span. Today, March 14th, the Seahawks were taken down by the Hornets in both singles and doubles.

How It Happened:

Doubles

• The duo of Max Esztergomi and Stephen Alam conquered the number two doubles spot with a hard-fought overtime win of 8 10 - 76. This was the only doubles win for the Seahawks.

Singles

• Max Esztergomi went to three sets in the number five singles spot winning the second set 6-4. However, this effort was not enough to come out on top. Esztergomi fell in the third set tiebreaker. 

Up Next for the Seahawks

The Seahawks will be back in action on Wednesday, March 15th as they participate in the second day of the PTR Spring Tennis Fest. The St. Mary's College of Maryland Men's Tennis team will take on Washington College.
