Bella Dunigan (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) and sophomore midfielder
Colin Horton (University Park, Md./Elizabeth Seton) led the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's lacrosse team to their second straight win Friday night (April 7) as the duo combined for eight goals and nine draw controls.
St. Mary's College (6-5) came away with a 13-10 non-conference road win over the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen (4-8).
How It Happened
- After the hosts scored the game's first two goals in a 34-second span, St. Mary's responded with five unanswered goals to claim its first lead of the game and stake a 5-2 advantage at 5:45 of the second quarter. Horton and sophomore attacker Hailey Betch (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) each scored twice in the 5-0 run.
- The Dutchmen ended the first half with two goals, including a player-up goal, in the final three minutes to pull within 5-4 at halftime.
- Junior captain MC Mortimer (Baltimore, Md./Friends) notched a goal and an assist as the Seahawks outscored Lebanon Valley, 4-2, in the third frame to head into the fourth with a three-goal lead.
- LVC looked to rally in the fourth after Horton made it a 10-6 game with a player-up goal to start the final period. The Dutchmen answered with three in a row to close the gap to 10-9 with 8:10 remaining in the game.
- St. Mary's came back with a three-goal run of its own to match its biggest lead of the game – four – for the second time.
- Erin Zieber scored LVC's 10th goal of the game with 3:59 to go but Lebanon Valley only mustered one more shot in the final minutes thanks to the Seahawks' staunch defensive play.

- Emily Beard scored three goals to lead the Dutchmen while Sydney Zimmerman tallied a game-tying five points on two goals and three assists.
- Julia Abendschoen turned away eight Seahawk shots to keep the game close.
