SMCM Men’s Swimming Takes on Randolph-Macon

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Sophomore Anthony Davis (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) and rookie Harrison Greenwald (Reisterstown, Md.) each claimed two individual victories to lead St. Mary's College of Maryland men's swimming against Randolph-Macon College Friday night (Oct. 25). St. Mary's College (0-2) dropped a 179.5-82.5 decision to the visiting Yellow Jackets (1-1).
 
How It Happened
  • Davis captured both sprint freestyle events, touching the wall first in the 50 freestyle in 22.44 before going 50.26 in the 100 freestyle.
  • Greenwald took first in the 1000 freestyle in 10:24.98 and then came in first in the 500 freestyle in 4:59.98.
  • The foursome of junior captain William Kendrick (Laurel, Md./DeMatha Catholic), sophomore Daniel Madigan (Waldorf, Md./North Point), sophomore Kyle Smith (Crofton, Md./Crofton), and Davis clocked a 1:42.38 to place second in the 200-medley relay.
  • Greenwald added a second-place finish in the 200 butterfly in 2:11.09 while Madigan went second in the 200 breaststroke in 2:22.56.
  • Smith notched a second-place finish in the 200 individual medley in 2:09.63 before anchoring the second-place 200 freestyle relay. Joining Smith on the relay were Davis, Kendrick, and sophomore Qwada Moses (Bowie, Md./DeMatha Catholic) for a time of 1:31.06.
  • Newcomer Stephen Lepine (Rockville, Md.) went third in the 1000 freestyle in 10:44.94 while going fourth in the 500 freestyle in 5:19.82.
  • Sophomore CB Jurado (Odenton, Md./Arundel) collected a third-place finish in the 200 freestyle in 1:56.65 while Moses finished fifth in the 100 butterfly in 1:00.06.
  • Kendrick posted a 58.70 to finish third in the 100 backstroke while recording a fourth-place finish in the 50 freestyle in 23.71.
  • Sophomore Luca Fairbank (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) tallied a third-place finish in the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.46 while placing fifth in the 200 backstroke in 2:24.47.
  • Smith also finished third in the 100 freestyle in 50.73 while Madigan added a fourth-place finish in the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.91.
