ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's lacrosse team wrapped up the regular season Friday (April 26) by returning to the win column on Senior Night. - Betch knotted the game at 5-all just over a minute into the second half; however, Crowley kept UMW ahead with an unassisted tally at 10:53. Sophomore attacker Katelin Scala (Catonsville, Md./Mount de Sales) and Betch each scored to regain the advantage, 7-6, at 6:36. Crowley struck again, this time assisting Caeley Terapane on a woman-up goal at 4:41, and the two sides headed into the fourth in a 7-7 draw.
- Scala and Betch teamed up for the first goal of the fourth period and an 8-7 Seahawk lead at 14:04 before the final tied score of the game came two minutes later as Katie Blair found the back of the net for Mary Washington. First-year midfielder Sanne Elling (Ocean View, Del./Sussex Academy) locked up the win for SMCM by scoring two of the team's three goals in a span of 2:20.
