Greenwald Wins Twice as St. Mary’s College Men’s Swimming Falls in Season-Opener

ASHLAND, Va. – Sophomore Harrison Greenwald (Eldersburg, Md./Century) posted two wins Friday night (Oct. 24) as St. Mary's College of Maryland men's swimming opened the 2025-26 season. St. Mary's College (0-1) dropped a 159.5-102.5 decision to Randolph-Macon College (1-1) in non-conference action.
 
How It Happened
  • Greenwald captured the 1000 freestyle in 10:29.29 while sophomore Stephen Lepine (Rockville, Md.) placed third in 10:47.06.
  • Greenwald also touched the wall first in the 500-freestyle in 5:02.52 while first-year Seth Geasey (Myersville, Md./Middletown) took third in 5:15.43.
  • Geasey notched a first-place finish in his collegiate debut as he claimed top honors in the 200 freestyle in 1:51.73.
  • Junior Anthony Davis (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) won the 50-freestyle in 22.92 while taking third in the 100-freestyle in 50.37.
  • The foursome of senior captain William Kendrick (Laurel, Md./DeMatha Catholic), junior Luca Fairbank (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney), Davis, and junior Kyle Smith (Crofton, Md./Crofton) clocked a 1:40.83 to come in second in the 200-medley relay.
  • In the 100-backstroke, Kendrick finished second in 57.70 while first-year JB Bonner (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area) earned a third-place finish in 58.14.
  • Smith notched a pair of individual second-place finishes in the 200-butterfly (2:11.90) as well as the 100 butterfly (56.86) while Davis placed third in the 100 fly in 56.98.
  • Greenwald added a second-place finish in the 400 individual medley in 4:31.85 while first-year Brendan Mannion (West Chester, Pa./Unionville), Fairbank, junior CB Jurado (Odenton, Md./Arundel), and Kendrick posted a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:31.30.
  • Junior Daniel Madigan (Waldorf, Md./North Point) came in second in the 200-breaststroke in 2:17.30 after tying for third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.23.
  • Bonner also picked up a third-place finish in the 200-backstroke in 2:08.82.
