ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – St. Mary's College of Maryland men's swimming picked up two wins Saturday afternoon (Nov. 1) in its home-opening non-conference quad meet. St. Mary's College (4-2) defeated both Southern Virginia University (3-4), 196-60, and Stevenson University (3-2), 203-59, before dropping a 156-106 decision to Bridgewater (Va.) College (3-1).
 
How It Happened

• Sophomore Harrison Greenwald (Eldersburg, Md./Century) notched one of the Seahawks' three wins on the afternoon, touching the wall first in the 200-freestyle in 1:48.32. First-year Seth Geasey (Myersville, Md./Middletown) came in third in 1:51.15 while junior Daniel Madigan (Waldorf, Md./North Point) finished sixth in 1:53.40.
• Junior Anthony Davis (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) also earned an individual win as Davis claimed a win in the 50-butterfly in 24.13. Junior Kyle Smith (Crofton, Md./Crofton) went fourth in 24.64.
• The foursome of senior captain William Kendrick (Laurel, Md./DeMatha Catholic), Smith, first-year Brendan Mannion (West Chester, Pa./Unionville), and Davis ended the meet with a first-place finish in the 200-freestyle relay in 1:28.78.
• In the 100-individual medley, Smith posted a second-place finish in 55.62 while first-year Noah Brittain (Bowie, Md./Bowie) took sixth in 1:02.03.
• Mannion placed second in the 50-breaststroke in 28.40 while junior Luca Fairbank (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) was just five-hundredths of a second behind in third (28.45) and Madigan finished fifth in 29.11.
• Mannion added another second-place finish in the 100-freestyle in 49.45 while Greenwald came in third in 49.53, Geasey took fourth in 49.92 and senior captain Tony Lumezi (Towson, Md./Towson) placed sixth in 51.57.
• Madigan clocked a 1:02.86 in the 100-breaststroke for second place while Fairbank finished third in 1:03.18.
• Sophomore Stephen Lepine (Rockville, Md./GWU Online) led three Seahawks in the 500-freestyle, finishing second in 5:11.57, while Geasey came in fifth in 5:17.40 and first-year Harry Brooks (Centreville, Va./Westfield) was sixth in 5:24.46.
• Kendrick, Fairbank, Davis, and Mannion opened the meet with a third-place finish in the 200-medley relay in 1:40.33.
• Kendrick went third in the 50-backstroke in 26.20 while Brooks was fourth in 27.36.
• Davis paced SMCM in the 50-freestyle with a third-place finish in 22.41 while Kendrick placed fourth in 23.16 and junior CB Jurado (Odenton, Md./Arundel) was sixth in 23.60.
• Brooks notched a third-place finish in the 100-backstroke in 58.95 while first-year JB Bonner (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area) came in fourth in 58.99.
• Greenwald ended his day with a third-place finish in the 200-individual medley in 2:03.92 while Bonner went sixth in 2:11.56.
• Smith led St. Mary's College in the 100-butterfly with a fifth-place finish in 56.33.
