Anthony Davis (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) paced the Seahawks with four wins this afternoon.
How It Happened
- SMCM began the meet by winning the 200-medley relay in 1:41.00 behind the efforts of senior captain William Kendrick (Laurel, Md./DeMatha Catholic), junior Luca Fairbank (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney), Davis, and junior Kyle Smith (Crofton, Md./Crofton).
- The first of Davis's three individual wins came in the 200-freestyle as St. Mary's College swept the event. Davis touched the wall first in 1:55.30 followed by junior CB Jurado (Odenton, Md./Arundel) in second (1:57.72) and first-year Alex Myers (North Potomac, Md./Quince Orchard) in third (2:01.23).
- Davis then won the 50-freestyle in 22.41 while Kendrick finished third in 23.19.
- Davis's last victory came in the 100-butterfly as he claimed top honors in 55.65 while Smith took third in 56.54.
- Sophomore Harrison Greenwald (Eldersburg, Md./Century) tallied one of two wins in the 1000-freestyle in 10:28.05 while sophomore Stephen Lepine (Rockville, Md./GWU Online) came in second in 10:47.78.
- Greenwald then led a sweep in the 400-individual medley as he placed first in 4:26.75 followed by junior Daniel Madigan (Waldorf, Md./North Point) in second (4:39.73) and first-year JB Bonner (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area) in third (4:44.89).
- Madigan won both breaststroke events, leading a sweep in both. He touched the wall first in the 100-breaststroke in 1:01.17 followed by first-year Brendan Mannion (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) in second (1:01.70) and Fairbank in third (1:03.49).
- Madigan then won the 200-breaststroke in 2:12.50 followed by Fairbank in second (2:21.79) and Mannion in third (2:24.36).
- Bonner led a 1-2 punch in the 100-backstroke as he placed first in 59.03 and Kendrick took second in 59.49.
- Mannion claimed a first-place finish in the 100-freestyle sweep, clocking a 49.15, while Greenwald came in second (49.52) and first-year Seth Geasey (Myersville, Md./Middletown) placed third (51.26).
- Geasey was the winner in the 500-freestyle in 5:06.25 while Lepine came in second in 5:18.51.
- Lepine added another second-place finish in the 200-butterfly in 2:15.86 while Bonner came in second in the 200-backstroke in 2:10.93.
