LATHAM, N.Y. – The United East Conference announced the 2024-25 Winter All-Sportsmanship Teams for each of the four conference sponsored sports and four St. Mary's College of Maryland student-athletes were among the honorees.
The United East Fall All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship. Student-athletes selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team demonstrate fair play, graciousness in victory and respectfulness in defeat. Everyone was chosen by their coach as a representative who embodies the Division III spirit.
Men's Basketball
First-year guard
James Crimaudo (Riva, Md./South River) was a member of the 16-person Men's Basketball All-Sportsmanship Team. Crimaudo saw action in 23 games with three starts. The 6-5 guard averaged 8.2 points and 4.0 rebounds in his first season as a Seahawk.
Women's Basketball
Earning a spot on the 17-person Women's Basketball All-Sportsmanship Team was senior captain
Kristin Sabatini (Ellicott City, Md./Howard). Sabatini stepped on the court for 17 games during her senior campaign, helping the Seahawks reach the United East Tournament championship game.
Men's Indoor Track & Field
Landing on the five-person Men's Indoor Track & Field All-Sportsmanship Team was sophomore captain
Ty Tindal (Philadelphia, Pa./Martin Saints Classical). Although sidelined with injury for the season, Tindal was a constant source of positive encouragement and motivation for the team.
Women's Indoor Track & Field
Sophomore
Ellie Geiger (California, Md./Leonardtown) was one of five United East athletes to be named to the Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Sportsmanship Team. Geiger contributed to the program's first-ever United East Indoor Championship title with a second-place finish as a member of the distance medley relay.
These student-athletes are ambassadors for their teams, both on and off their respective competitive surfaces, and galvanize their teammates toward their goals. They show respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, spectators, and the greater campus community.
