CHESTERTOWN, Md. – St. Mary's College of Maryland women's swimming closed out the regular season Saturday afternoon (Jan. 24). St. Mary's College (11-5) dropped a 164-96 decision to host Washington College (4-6) as junior
Kelsie Miller (Rockville, Md./Winston Churchill) registered the two Seahawk event wins.
How It Happened
- Miller captured the 200-freestyle in 2:04.51 while sophomore Mandy Cartwright (Waldorf, Md./Thomas Stone) took third in 2:06.98.
- Miller touched the wall first in the 100-butterfly in 1:00.00 while first-year Liv Macaluso (Killingworth, Conn./Haddam-Killingworth) came in second in 1:08.18.
- Miller also picked up a second-place finish in the 200-butterfly in 2:19.09 while junior Kaitlyn Soldon (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) was third in 2:44.41.
- The foursome of sophomore Isa Bianco (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville), senior captain Venus Kai Judge (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard), Miller, and sophomore Addison Willey (Lexington Park, Md./Great Mills) went 2:01.35 for second in the 200-medley relay.
- Judge notched a second-place finish in the 1000-freestyle in 12:00.69 while sophomore Lauren Goulet (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) finished third in 12:14.08.
- Willey placed second in the 50-freestyle in 27.13.
- Cartwright earned a second-place finish in the 500-freestyle in 5:49.91.
- Cartwright, Bianco, Goulet, and senior captain Kate Pass (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) posted a 1:51.03 for second in the 200-freestyle relay.
- Macaluso went third in both the 100-backstroke (1:08.55) and the 200-backstroke (2:30.22).
- Judge added a pair of third-place finishes in the 100-breaststroke (1:18.82) and the 100-freestyle (1:00.83).
- Pass clocked a 2:57.49 in the 200-breaststroke for third place.
- In the 200-individual medley, sophomore Jesse Slingluff (Crownsville, Md./Old Mill) came in fourth in 2:38.10.
