  • Five Seahawks Capture All-CAC Honors, Balogun Named Offensive Player of the Year

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team matched a program-record for the fourth-straight year with five All-Capital Athletic Conference selections, the league announced today (Nov. 8). The Seahawks picked up four first-team selections for the third consecutive year. In addition, Khalid Balogun was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Year.

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team (12-6-2) traveled to the University of Mary Washington on Wednesday (Nov. 6) afternoon to take on the Eagles (13-3-3) in the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals. The second seeded Eagles scored three unanswered second half goals to defeat the third seeded Seahawks 3-1.
  • Men’s Soccer Handles SVU in CAC Tournament Quarterfinals

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team (12-5-2, 5-4-1 CAC) hosted the Southern Virginia University Knights (2-18, 0-10 CAC) in the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinals on Saturday (Nov. 2) afternoon. The third seeded Seahawks handled the sixth seeded Knights by defeating them 3-0.
  • Men’s Soccer Cruises Past Southern Virginia to Wrap Up Regular Season Play

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team (11-5-2, 5-4-1 CAC) traveled to Southern Virginia University to take on the Knights (2-17, 0-10 CAC) on Wednesday (Oct. 30) night in Capital Athletic Conference action. The Seahawks cruised to a 4-0 victory over the Knights in their final regular season game of the year. St. Mary’s College locked up the third seed in the CAC Tournament and will host Southern Virginia on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 4:30 p.m.
  • Panton Named CAC Offensive Player of the Week

    The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) has announced its weekly awards following the ninth week of the 2019 men’s soccer season. St. Mary’s College forward Roshawn Panton was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week. This is Panton’s first Player of the Week honor this season and the Seahawks fifth Player of the Week selection this year.
  • Men’s Soccer Plays to Draw with Mary Washington

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team (10-5-2, 4-4-1 CAC) hosted the visiting University of Mary Washington Eagles (11-3-3, 6-2-1 CAC) on Saturday (Oct. 26) evening in a pivotal Capital Athletic Conference matchup. The Seahawks led late in the game, but played to a 2-2 draw with the Eagles.
  • Panton Lifts Seahawks to Victory at York

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team (10-5-1, 4-4 CAC) traveled to York College of Pennsylvania to take on the Spartans (8-6-2, 4-4 CAC) in Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday (Oct. 23) afternoon. A late goal from Roshawn Panton lifted the Seahawks to a 1-0 victory over the Spartans.

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team (9-5-1, 3-4 CAC) traveled to Salisbury University to take on the Sea Gulls (8-6-1, 3-4 CAC) in Capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday (Oct. 19) afternoon. The Seahawks fell in heartbreaking fashion, dropping the match 2-1 in overtime.
  • Seahawks Swept by No. 17 Captains

    St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer (9-4-1, 3-3 CAC) took on the visiting No. 17 Christopher Newport University (CNU) Captains (9-1-3, 6-0 CAC) on Wednesday (Oct. 16) night in Capital Athletic Conference action. The Seahawks fell to the Captains 4-1 and CNU collected the regular season sweep.
  • Seahawks Edge Knights in CAC Battle

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team (9-3-1, 3-2 CAC) hosted the visiting Southern Virginia University Knights (2-12, 0-5 CAc) in a Capital Athletic Conference battle on Friday (Oct. 11) evening. The Seahawks edged the Knights 2-1 due to a pair of first half scores.

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team (8-3-1, 2-2) traveled to the No. 21 Christopher Newport University Captains (7-1-3, 4-0) on Wednesday (Oct. 9) evening for Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) action. The Seahawks fell to the Captains 3-1.

  • Seahawks Tally CAC Victory Over York

    St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer (7-2-1, 1-1 CAC) tallied their first Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) victory of the season with a 2-1 win over the York College Spartans (4-4-2) on Wednesday (Oct. 2) evening. Head men’s soccer coach Alun Oliver became the winningest coach in program history with his 77th career victory. The previous mark of 76 was held by former head coach and current assistant coach Herb Gainey.
  • Seahawks Drop CAC Opener at No. 14 Mary Washington

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team (6-2-1) opened up Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) action on the road against the No. 14 Mary Washington Eagles on Saturday (Sept. 28) afternoon. The Seahawks were held scoreless and fell to the Eagles 4-0.
  • Seahawks Fall to Johns Hopkins in Ranked Matchup

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team (6-1-1) hosted the visiting Johns Hopkins University Blue Jays (6-2) in a nationally ranked matchup Wednesday (Sept. 25) night at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium. The Blue Jays prevailed 2-1 over the Seahawks. St. Mary’s College headed into tonight’s contest as the No. 21 ranked team in the D3Soccer.com Top 25, while Johns Hopkins came in as the No. 10 ranked team in the D3Soccer.com Top 25 and the No. 9 ranked team in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25.

    D3Soccer.com released its latest national poll on Tuesday (Sept. 24) and the St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team (6-0-1) moved up to the No. 21 ranked team in the country. The Seahawks moved up three spots from last week’s poll. In addition, St. Mary’s College enters this week as the sixth ranked team in the United Soccer Coaches South Atlantic Region rankings.

The Seahawks moved up one spot up from last week’s poll. In addition, St. Mary’s College enters this week as the fifth ranked team in the United Soccer Coaches South Atlantic Region rankings.

    St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer broke into the D3Soccer.com national rankings this week, coming in as the 25th ranked team in NCAA Division III. The Seahawks make their first appearance in the top 25 this season and were last ranked during the 2003 season, where they were ranked 24th in the country. In addition, the Seahawks come in at seventh in the United Soccer Coaches South Atlantic Regional Rankings.

    The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team (2-0) upended the No. 18 Carnegie Mellon Tartans (1-1) 3-2 in the Elmer Lord Tournament on Saturday (Aug. 31) afternoon. The victory over the Tartans was the first win over a ranked opponent since the 2017 season when the Seahawks knocked off No. 16 Mary Washington.
