Acacia Sangster joined the Seahawks family at the start of 2026. Sangster works closely with the team's sprinters while providing assistance to the cross country program.
Sangster came to SMCM from Northeast HS in Oakland Park, Fla., where she taught social studies (2022-2025) and served as the head track & field coach (2023-2025). Prior to taking over as the head coach, she was the assistant coach for six seasons (2017-23). During her tenure at Northeast, Sangster coached three National High School Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (NHSTFXCCA) All-Americans.
She competed for two years on the indoor and outdoor track & field teams at Warner University in Lake Wales, Fla. Sangster finished second as a member of the 4x100m and 4x400m relays at the 2012 Sun Conference Championships. Â
The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native graduated from Florida International University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation & Sports Management (Recreational Therapy).
