Travis Petty '22 joined the Seahawks cross country and track & field coaching staff in August 2022.
Petty graduated from St. Mary's College in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in history along with minors in African & African Diaspora Studies and educational studies. The Orlando, Fla., native is currently pursuing his Master of Arts in Teaching at St. Mary's with an expected graduation date of May 2023. He looks to teach history after completing his masters.
As a student at St. Mary's, he was an intern with the Sexual Misconduct Advocacy and Response Team (SMART). Petty earned the 2022 Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault Visionary Award as well as the 2022 African and African Diaspora Studies Award.
