2019-20: CAC All-Academic Team … CAC Championships: 11th in 200 Fly (2:54.56); 14th in 100 Fly
(1:14.66).
2018-19: CAC All-Academic Team ... 3rd in 200 individual medley (2:43.11) against York College.
Linganore HS: 2017 graduate ... Swam for Rob Fox at Fox Swim Club ... Qualified for sectional relays two years in a row.
Personal: Alexa Rae Needle ... Born November 5, 1998 in Shady Grove, Md. ... Daughter of Norman and Donnamarie Needle ... Has a brother, Joshua ... Named to Dean's List and St. Mary's Scholar in Spring of 2020 ... Member of the Chancellors Point Club Executive Board, and Yogo and Meditation Executive Board.
Future Aspirations: To attend law school, score points and place at conference championships.
Best SMCM Sports Moment?: My favorite moments have been all of the Florida training trip that we take in January of each school year.
Why St. Mary's?: I chose St. Mary's because of its welcoming environment, beautiful campus, and amazing reputation. I also chose this school because it was one I could swim at which was a big factor in my college decision.
