Ariana Lecouras '25 joined the Seahawks coaching staff for the 2025-26 academic year following a solid career at St. Mary's College. Lecouras works primarily with the distance and mid-distance runners.
CROSS COUNTRY
Lecouras finished her career at SMCM as a two-time All-United East selection. The Severna Park, Md., native was a First Team honoree in 2024 after taking eighth at the United East Conference Championships. As a sophomore, she went 12th at the conference championships for Second Team honors. Her highest finish at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional was 132nd place in 2024 as she clocked a 6k personal record of 25:20.7.
Lecouras was voted the United East Senior Scholar-Athlete for women's cross country in 2024. She also landed on the United Fall All-Academic Team in 2024 while being named a United East Scholar-Athlete in 2022.
TRACK & FIELD
Lecouras, who was a team captain as a senior, picked up a Second Team All-United East award in the 5000m at the 2025 United East Indoor Championships.
She earned a spot on three conference All-Academic Teams.
Lecouras graduated from St. Mary's College in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies. She was a member of both Phi Alpha Theta, the American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history, and Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society. Lecouras also interned at Kate Farm.
