YORK, Pa. - The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's swimming team (1-2) fell to the York College Spartans (3-1) in a Capital Athletic Conference meet on Saturday (Nov. 2) afternoon. The Spartans topped the Seahawks 164-79 to hand St. Mary's College their second consecutive loss.

How It Happened
Brenna Litynski won the fifth event of the afternoon when she swam a time of 2:00.47 in the 200 Yard Freestyle. Litynski continued her winning ways in the 100 Yard Freestyle, recording a time of 55.05 for the first-place finish. Next, Bailey Edgren captured a first-place finish by four seconds in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:37.37. Edgren won her second event of the meet in the 100 Yard IM with a time of 1:08.66. In the 50 Yard Butterfly, Carolyn Sutton was victorious with a time of 27.59. The Seahawks wrapped up the meet by winning the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay. The team of Litynski, Leila McCloskey, Paige Adelsberger, and Sutton finished with a time of 3:52.20.
Other notable finishes included Adelsberger (2nd, 1000 Yard Freestyle - 2nd, 500 Yard Freestyle), Christina Bonass (2nd, 250 Yard Breaststroke - 2nd, 100 Yard IM), Becca Sonnenberg (2nd, 200 Yard Butterfly - 3rd, 50 Yard Butterfly), Rileigh Krell (3rd, 200 Yard Backstroke), and Christina Trnkus (2nd, 50 Yard Butterfly).
