    St. Mary’s City, Md. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s and women’s cross country teams raised $1211.00 and circled the track on the St. Mary’s City campus for 245.25 miles as part of their third 24-Hour Run to benefit the St. Mary’s Animal Welfare League (SMAWL) and the League for People with Disabilities.

The Seahawks finished one spot ahead of Capital Athletic Conference rival, University of Mary Washington, who is ranked ninth in the South/Southeast region.

    Salisbury, Md. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s cross country team opened up the 2012 campaign Saturday morning at the Sea Gull Opener hosted by Salisbury University, finishing eighth with 270 points. The Seahawks were led in the race by first-year Emily Plum.
