Lilli Comparetto joined the St. Mary’s College sports medicine staff as an assistant athletic trainer on August 1, 2023. Comparetto serves as the primary athletic trainer for men’s and women’s cross country, women's soccer, women's lacrosse, open and women's sailing, and men’s and women’s track & field.
The Leonardtown, Md., native arrived at St. Mary’s College after spending three years as the head athletic trainer for Northern High School in Owings, Md. (Sept. 2020 – June 2023). Comparetto provided primary sports medicine coverage for all varsity and junior varsity sports at Northern. She also developed and implemented venue-specific emergency action plans.
Comparetto also worked as an athletic trainer for the U.S. Naval Academy youth overnight and day sports camps during Summer 2021 and 2022.
As an athletic training student at Division III Anderson University (Anderson, Ind.), she assisted in the coverage of softball, cross country, and aquatics. Comparetto also helped out with sports medicine coverage at Hamilton Southeastern High School (Fishers, Ind.) during her time at Anderson.
She is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist as well as a National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective Exercise Specialist.
