Frederick, Md. - In Capital Athletic Conference men's soccer action today, St. Mary's College of Maryland posted a 3-1 victory over Hood College en route to their third consecutive triumph.  The Seahawks have outscored their opponents 8-2 during this three-game win streak.

St. Mary's (5-6, 3-2 CAC) sported a 1-0 lead at halftime when senior defender Mike Rohrs (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's-Annapolis) headed in senior captain Mikael Tigrett's (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) corner kick at 29:15 for Rohrs' first career goal.

The Seahawks increased their lead to 2-0 as sophomore forward Chad Henry (Silver Spring, Md./Sandy Spring Friends) one-timed a cross from senior forward Alex Pyzik (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) at 62:09.  Senior forward Cyrus Albertson (Chevy Chase, Md./St. John's College [D.C.]) connected with a throw-in by Tigrett to up the ante to 3-0 at 65:43.

Hood (4-7, 1-5 CAC) avoided the shutout with just a little over eight minutes left in the game as Quinn Miller found the goal from about eight yards out.

St. Mary's dominated the Blazers, out-shooting them 35 to 11.  However, corner kicks were even at three apiece.
