Bridgewater, Va. - The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's soccer team left the campus of Bridgewater (Va.) College with a 1-1 draw after a 110 minutes of non-conference action Wednesday evening.

For Bridgewater, this was the Eagles' third straight tie as BC moved to 3-3-3 on the season.

Senior Chris Thomas (Bowie, Md./Spalding) helped the Eagles take an early 1-0 lead at 7:35 after cleaning up a rebound following senior forward Ivan Barisic's (Croatia) shot which bounced of the post.

Bridgewater maintained the 1-0 advantage for the majority of the match until sophomore midfielder George Gusack (College Park, Md./DeMatha) found the back of the net with his first tally of the season at 79:10 to knot the contest at 1 all.

Shots were even during the two, 10-minute overtime periods as both sides generated three shots; however, the Eagles finished with a slight 15-14 margin in total shots.  St. Mary's racked up nine corner kicks to BC's three.

Freshman Dan Gressang (Bowie, Md./Bishop McNamara) had another strong game in goal for the Seahawks as Gressang registered five saves, while senior Zane Lineberry (Pulaski, Va./Pulaski) made four stops.

St. Mary's will return to action this Saturday, September 27 when the Seahawks entertain Stevenson University in Capital Athletic Conference action at 2:00.
