Lewis capped an 8-4 start for the Seahawks with a layup at 15:54 for the home team's biggest lead of the game. Marymount responded with a 14-3 run that spanned seven minutes and established a seven-point lead with nearly nine minutes left in the half. St. Mary's used a 5-0 spurt to cut the Saint lead to 18-16 at 6:50 on a Murray three-pointer but the Seahawks would get no closer as Marymount headed into the locker room with a 29-23 halftime advantage.

The Saints quickly rebuilt an eight-point lead in 1:28 but then neither team scored a field goal for the remaining five minutes of the contest as Marymount closed out the game with a 3-of-4 effort from the free throw line.
St. Mary's continues conference action on Saturday, January 7 as the Seahawks welcome Wesley College (2-7, 1-2 CAC) to the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center Arena. Tip-off is set for 2:00 pm.
