The two teams were neck-and-neck in the third set as the game featured 13 tied scores and five lead changes.  Crawford knotted the set at 15-all and helped the Eagles to a 4-0 run for an 18-15 lead, forcing St. Mary's to call a timeout.  Two UMW errors and two kills by senior right-side hitter Shelby Mullennix (California, Md./Leonardtown) returned the lead to the Seahawks at 21-20.

After an Eagle kill made it 21-21, the hosts closed it out on a 4-0 run as a kill by first-year middle blocker Autumn Fisher (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) sealed the 25-21 win.

St. Mary's cruised in the fourth and final set, breaking open a 4-4 draw with a 15-7 run to post a 19-11 margin before heading to a 25-14 triumph for the match.
