Box Score St. Mary's City, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's soccer team played their last non-conference contest of the 2013 season, dropping a 2-0 decision to Stevenson University Sunday afternoon.
Stevenson (7-4) notched both of its goals in the first half as senior defender Shannon McGuire (Darnestown, Md./Northwest) scored off a free kick at 14:24 and senior midfielder Mackenzie Calhoun (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) deflected in a pass from sophomore defender Allie Ondrejcak (Waldorf, Md./Thomas Stone) at 20:37.
The Seahawks (2-6-2) were solid in the second stanza holding Stevenson scoreless for the final 45 minutes while making more of an offensive push. The Mustangs posted a 13-4 shot advantage as well as a 6-2 margin in corner kicks.
First-year goalkeeper Sara Eaton (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal School) recorded four stops for St. Mary's while first-year Annie McCoach (Cockeysville, Md./Maryvale) and sophomore Alicia Greene (Jarrettsville, Md./North Harford) split time in goal in registering the Mustangs' fourth shutout.
St. Mary's will be back on the pitch on Wednesday, October 2nd when the Seahawks travel to York College of Pennsylvania for a Capital Athletic Conference match at 4:00 pm.
