St. Mary's City, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's soccer team rebounded from Wednesday's loss at Salisbury University with a 1-0 win over Marymount (Va.) University in Capital Athletic Conference action Sunday afternoon.

St. Mary's is now 23-9-1 against Marymount (3-10, 1-3 CAC) following today's victory, including a 15-3 mark at home.

The match remained scoreless until 84:22 when first-year forward Alessandro Burlew (Mount Airy, Md./Good Counsel) put back his own rebound for his fourth goal of the season. Burlew's initial shot was a low-driven, point-blank shot which junior goalkeeper Logan Cropper (Oak Hills, Va./Oakton) stopped but could not control. Burlew followed his shot and fired it back in just inside the near post.

The Seahawks will look to keep the momentum going on Wednesday, October 15th when St. Mary's travels to Newport News, Virginia to take on No. 9 Christopher Newport University in another CAC tilt at 5:30 p.m.
