Box Score Salisbury, Md. – Senior Sophie Pruden (Carrboro, N.C./Chapel Hill) wraps up her Seahawk career with her 12th double-double of the season as the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's basketball team exits the 2014 Capital Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship Tournament in the first round Tuesday night.
The sixth-seeded Seahawks fell short to third-seeded Salisbury University (18-8) by a 73-59 margin. St. Mary's finishes the 2013-14 season with a 10-15 (6-10 CAC) record.

The Seahawks came ready to play and shot a season-best 52.2% (12-of-23) in the first half to head into the locker room only down 32-28 at halftime. Salisbury staked an early lead as the Sea Gulls built an 18-10 lead with 11:57 remaining in the half. St. Mary's responded with a 15-6 run to own a 25-24 advantage on a Pruden layup at 4:47.

A Lewis jumper at 18:50 kept it a four-point game at the start of the second half before the Sea Gulls went on a 9-0 run for a 43-30 lead at 16:10. Salisbury continued to distance itself from St. Mary's and built a 20-point advantage at 10:05. The Seahawks worked the deficit down to 57-48 following a three-point play by Pruden but St. Mary's could get no closer.
Seipp finished the night with a game-best 23 points while this week's CAC Player of the Week, junior guard Anna Hackett (Germantown, Md.), tallied 14 points, seven assists, six rebounds, and one steal.
