St. Mary's City, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's basketball team returned to Capital Athletic Conference action Wednesday evening, taking on Marymount (Va.) University in their final game of 2015. Marymount (8-2, 3-0 CAC) came out on top, 52-35, to extend its win streak to five while the Seahawks' (3-6, 1-2 CAC) skid stretched to four in a row.

Sophomore guard Kerri Kline (Hagerstown, Md./Saint James) was the only St. Mary's player to break into double digits as Kline notched a team-best 10 points while first-year forward Kobe Chaney (Annapolis, Md./South River) paced the team on the boards with a team-high nine rebounds and picked up a season-best five blocks.

The Seahawks owned a 15-12 advantage at the end of the first quarter following a 5-0 run in the final minute at first-year guard Katie Robey (Kensington, Md./Georgetown Visitation Prep) made good on a jumper and junior guard Haley Riebling (Ellicott City, Md./Seton Keough) sunk a three-pointer with 10 ticks on the clock to return the lead to St. Mary's.

Marymount then outscored the Seahawks, 18-8, in the second stanza to stake a 30-23 halftime lead. The Saints capitalized with 12 points off of 10 SMCM miscues. Sophomore Nicole Viscuso (Phoenix, Md./Hereford) led all scorers with 12 points while sophomore guard Olivia Nowlin (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) paced St. Mary's with six points as Nowlin was 2-of-3 from downtown.

The Saints' defense kicked into high gear for the third period, holding St. Mary's to just three points and 1-of-15 from the field. In the fourth quarter, Marymount edged the hosts, 10-9, as the Saints went 6-of-8 from the free throw line.

Viscuso finished the evening with a double-double on 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead Marymount.

In the New Year, the Seahawks will look to put an end to their skid when they travel to the Eastern Shore to face Salisbury University (7-3, 3-0 CAC) in another CAC tilt on Saturday, January 2 at 2:00 p.m.
