Dover, Del. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's soccer team stretched their unbeaten streak to four games Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 road win over Wesley College in Capital Athletic Conference action. This is the Seahawks' seventh shutout victory of the season.

How It Happened
- St. Mary's scored two goals in each half for its 10th win of the season while first-year forward Khalid Balogun (Bowie, Md./Bowie) paced the Seahawks offense with a goal and two assists.
- Balogun opened up the scoring at 41:53 as he stole the ball from the Wesley defense and buried the breakaway for his fifth of the season.
- The second goal of the half came less than a minute later when Balogun sent in a cross to the far post where junior forward Luke Barber (Washington, D.C./Walt Whitman) was waiting. Barber's initial header hit the crossbar but came right back to him for the easy finish.
- Balogun's second assist of the day came in the second half on the third score at 47:19 as he fed sophomore midfielder Juwan Kearson (Baltimore, Md./St. Paul's) on the right flank with a great through ball.
- Senior captain Nick Tait (Silver Spring, Md./Sandy Spring Friends) assisted on the final tally of the afternoon at 60:01 as Tait took away the ball from the Wolverine defense and hit senior midfielder Kyle Reichard (Crofton, Md./South River) for the four-goal cushion.
For the Seahawks (10-2-2, 4-1-1 CAC)
- Scorers: Balogun (1 goal, 2 assists); Barber (1 goal); Kearson (1 goal); Reichard (1 goal); Tait (1 assist).
- Goalkeeper: Junior Zack Haussler (Woodbine, Md./Glenelg) (3 saves, 0 goals allowed, 63:47); First-year Patrick Paolini (North Potomac, Md./Quince Orchard) (0 saves, 0 goals allowed, 26:13).
- St. Mary's finished the game with 25 shots (nine on goal) and seven corner kicks.
For Wesley (3-8-2, 1-5-0 CAC)
- Scorers: None.
- Goalkeeper: First-year Tanner Yaw (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) (5 saves, 4 goals allowed, 90:00).
- The Wolverines recorded 14 shots (three on goal) and three corner kicks.
Notes
- St. Mary's is ranked ninth in the South Atlantic region in the NSCAA poll for the second straight week.
- His assist today bumped Tait into a tie for fifth all-time with 21 career assists. He is now tied with Nathaniel Graham '06 (2002-05). Tait remains fifth with 81 total points (30 goals, 21 assists).
