St. Mary's City, Md. – Sophomore midfielder Emily Pulkowski (Westminster, Md./Westminster) scored twice in helping the St. Mary's College of Maryland field hockey team snap their four-game skid Sunday afternoon. The Seahawks (2-4) posted their first shutout of the season, blanking the Wilson College Phoenix (1-4), 6-0, in non-conference action.

How It Happened
- Pulkowski notched her first two goals of the season while senior Mollie Belson (Columbia, Md./Atholton) added a goal and an assist in St. Mary's second win of the season.
- The Seahawks built a 5-0 halftime lead, including netting a pair in 48 seconds.
- Pulkowski tallied the first goal of game at 12:15 followed by first-year forward Rachel Lansbury (Annandale, Va./W.T. Woodson) notching her first career goal at 21:22.
- Pulkowski struck again at 27:01 off an assist from first-year Erika Schutt (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) followed by first-year forward Sara Walford (Centreville, Md./Queen Anne's County) picking up her first career goal at 27:49 off a feed from Belson.
- Belson converted a penalty stroke in the 31st minute to send St. Mary's up 5-0 at the break.
- In her first game of the season, senior forward Courtney Mellon (Mt. Airy, Md./Urbana) wrapped the scoring for the Seahawks at 61:32 as Mellon finished off a pass from first-year Kathleen Stevens (Marion Station, Md./Crisfield Academy).
