Box Score SALISBURY, Md. - The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's basketball team (5-14, 1-7 CAC) struggled on the offensive end of the floor throughout today's (Jan. 26) CAC contest at Salisbury (13-6, 5-3 CAC). The Seahawks fell to the Sea Gulls 53-25.

The opening quarter of action was a defensive battle with both teams being held scoreless up to the 5:23 mark of the quarter. Salisbury broke the scoreless tie two seconds later and stretched their lead to 8-2 with 27 seconds remaining. St. Mary's finished the quarter strong with a layup with three seconds remaining from Kelli Jenkins.

Salisbury found their offensive rhythm in the second stanza, outscoring St. Mary's 19-5. The Seahawks headed into halftime trailing the Sea Gulls 27-9.

St. Mary's continued to shoot off the mark in the third and fourth quarters of the contest and failed to string together any scoring runs to attempt a comeback.
