The Lions started the game with an 8-2 lead, but the Seahawks grabbed their first lead of the game with eight unanswered points for a 10-8 advantage. Three-pointers from Janey Mathisen and Kelli Jenkins highlighted the run. Penn State Harrisburg captured the lead late in the first quarter and held a 16-14 advantage over St. Mary's. However, Katie Robey sunk the Seahawks third three-pointer of the quarter with 31 seconds left in the quarter to retake a 17-16 lead. Next, the Lions stormed down the court moments later and converted on a layup with two seconds left in the stanza for the lead.

The second and third quarters were controlled by the Lions as Penn State Harrisburg outscored St. Mary's 19-12 in the second and 21-15 in the third quarter.

The Seahawks trailed by 14 to start the fourth quarter and attempted to make a comeback at the 7:17 mark of the stanza with a five-point run. Jenkins began the run with a three ball and Chaney finished it with a layup. However, the Lions outscored the Seahawks 12-10 the rest of the way.
