Chestertown, MD-- The St. Mary's Men's Rowing squad opened their 2022-23 campaign today, (Oct.8) competing in the Chester Chase. The Seahawks competed against the Washington College Shoremen and the Catholic University Cardinals.  

The 5k race took place on the Chester River.  

How it Happened:

• The Men's V8+ squad completed the race in 23:57. This time significantly closed the gap between them and the Shoremen, who were bronze medalists in the 2022 MARC Championships. Catholic finished the race in 22:18, while Washington College crossed the finish line in 23:53
