ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Five players registered multiple-goal games Saturday afternoon as the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's lacrosse team rolled to their fifth consecutive win. The Seahawks (5-0) cruised to a 16-0 advantage before finishing up the day with a 20-4 non-conference victory over the Shenandoah University Hornets (4-2).
 
How It Happened

• In the first quarter, St. Mary's College opened a 5-0 lead behind a goal and two assists from first-year midfielder Aiden Doyle (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) while senior attackman Jude Brown (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) added a goal and one helper.
• The hosts tacked on six more in the second period as Brown put up three goals and an assist and Doyle chipped in a pair.
• Shenandoah held the Seahawks to just three goals in the third frame, including a buzzer beater by Doyle off an assist from first-year midfielder Nate Hochrein (Baltimore, Md./Towson).
• Sophomore midfielder Brett Weiner (Reisterstown, Md./Dulaney) stretched St. Mary's lead to a 16-goal margin at the 8:44 mark of the fourth stanza with his first two goals of the season.
• SU finally made the scoreboard as the Hornets rattled off four unanswered goals in a four-minute span to avoid the shutout. Tyler Held scored twice while Chris Baker had two helpers.
• The Seahawks finished out the game with four straight goals in the final 2:24 of the contest.

• Weiner notched his first career hat trick with his first three goals of 2022.
• Senior midfielder Samuel Jaudon (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) matched his career-high with a game-best eight ground balls as Jaudon won 9-of-14 face-offs.
• Senior captain Kyrle Preis (Upper Falls, Md./Loyola Blakefield) tallied four stops in 38:22 before being relieved by junior Ben Robertson (Davidsonville, Md./South River), who made four saves as well.
• Mark Isabelle made 16 saves in goal for Shenandoah, giving up 15 goals in 49:32.
