St. Mary's City, MD-- The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's tennis hosted the Penn State Abington Nittany Lions on Senior Day this afternoon (Apr 23) in the final regular season match of the 2022 spring season. The Seahawks defeated the Nittany Lions 9-0 to improve 8-7 on the year. Following the match, the Seahawks recognized: Sophie Nuwar, Baudrette Djiogo, Jackie Agyemang, and Hallie Hershey for their contributions to St. Mary's College of Maryland tennis over the past four years.

Levit, Gorel and Hershey competed in singles at the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 spot against the Nittany Lions. Levit got the Seahawks off on the right foot, cruising to a 6-3, 6-1 two set win. Gorel and Hershey both dominated their matches in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, both earning two set shutout wins, 6-0, 6-0.Â

It was more of the same for Amber Manspeaker in the No. 4 spot, putting together another 6-0, 6-0 two set shutout performance for the St. Mary's squad. Sydney Anderson kept things rolling for St. Mary's in the No. 5 spot, winning in another two set shutout for the Seahawks  Â
