Middletown, PA - The St. Mary's College Volleyball team traveled to Middletown Pennsylvania to take on the Nittany Lions of Penn State Harrisburg in a United East Conference match. The Seahawks fell to the Nittany Lions in four sets.

How it Happened

•  The first set started out strong; Meghan Stevens notched the first point of the night with a kill. This was immediately answered by the Nittany Lions and the battle began. St. Mary's initially had the lead on Harrisburg (8-4) but the Nittany Lions responded and tied the match at 11-11. The back and forth continued until Harrisburg notched eight unanswered points (20-15). The Seahawks recovered and tied the set 22-22 but Harrisburg quickly sealed the deal 29-27.

• Harrisburg quickly took the lead in the second set, immediately creating a four-point gap between them and the Seahawks (6-2). However, the Seahawks slowly but surely bounced back with kills by Arielle Lubeck and Julia Bobrowski. St. Mary's took the lead at the 18th point and Meghan Stevens sealed the second set win with two back-to-back kills.

• The third set proved to be more difficult for the Seahawks. The Nittany Lions were relentless and refused to give up another set. The Seahawks fell 24-18 in the third set and 25-21 in the fourth set.

Key Plays

• Camilla Galeano and Julia Bobrowski both notched 16 digs for the Seahawks. Bobrowski also led the team in kills.
