Reading, PA. - The St. Mary's College of Maryland Women's Soccer Team (7-8-3) traveled to Reading, Pennsylvania for a rematch with Penn State Berks (9-8-1) in the United East Conference Volt Division Semifinals. The Nittany Lions scored in the final seconds to beat the Seahawks 1-0.Â

The Seahawks and Nittany Lions played the majority of the first half in the midfield with neither team gaining a clear advantage.Â

The Seahawks had two first half scoring opportunities, but couldn't cash in on either of them. Ella Raines missed a shot high in the ninth minute and Felicia Fishburne saw a shot get saved by Penn State Berks' Sophia Gonzalez.Â

Neither tram could muster much offense in the first 45 minutes, as both team combined for just five first half shots and zero goals.Â

Kylie Wells had a first half save. Both teams went into the locker room tied at 0-0.Â

The second half proved to be more of the same. The ball continued to be played primarily in the midfield.Â

Penn State Berks was able to gain a slight edge offensively, outshooting St. Mary's 6-1 in the second half.Â

The difference in the game came when a Penn State Berks free kick was called just outside the box on the far sideline with about ten seconds remaining in the contest. Penn State Berks' Diana Pon sent a ball into the box that found the head of teammate Adrianna Lepera. Lepera was able to make contact through a sea of people to send it past Kylie Wells to give the Nittany Lions a 1-0 lead with three seconds left. Penn State Berks would hold on to win 1-0.
