ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Senior guard
Daryn Alexander (Twinbrook, Md./Richard Montgomery) had himself a memorable Senior Day as Alexander poured in more than 50-percent of the team's points. The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's basketball team (12-13, 7-9 UEC) held on for an 81-77 victory over Wells College (9-7) to end the 2022-23 campaign on a high note.
Prior to the start of the game, St. Mary's recognized its three seniors – Alexander,
Jordan Goodwin (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill), and team manager
Alyssa Afuang (Rockville, Md.) – for their dedication and leadership to the Seahawks men's basketball program.

- The Express did not back down and turned the tide by outscoring the hosts, 49-29, the rest of the way to make it a one-point game (75-74) with 27 ticks on the clock as Ty McBride drained a three-pointer. McBride connected on a two-point bucket to keep Wells with one.
- St. Mary's sunk all eight free throws over the game's final seven seconds to pick up the season-ending victory.
