St. Mary's City, MD. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland Men's Tennis team took on the Gophers of Goucher College in their second home match of the spring season. The Seahawks squeezed by the Gophers with a 5 - 4 win. This win is the first for the new Interim Head Coach Sona Hussian.

Boris Palmade scored another point for the Seahawks in the number one singles spot, earning a two-set 6-4, 6-3 victory

Stephen Alam fought hard in the number two singles spot and came out on top after three sets, 6-1, 5-7, 6-1.

Goucher quickly caught up as Nick Rohr, Keawe Johnson, and Max Esztergomi all fell short in the number 3, 4, and 5 spots.

In the number six spot, Liam Pratt sealed the deal for St. Mary's College with a two-set win, 7-6 and 6-4.
Up Next for the Seahawks
The Seahawks will be back in action on Tuesday, March 14th as they travel to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina for the PTR Spring Tennis Fest. The St. Mary's College of Maryland Men's Tennis team will take on Lynchburg College on the road.
