Hailey Betch (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) combined for 17 points Saturday afternoon (April 15) as the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's lacrosse team returned to the win column.
St. Mary's College (7-6, 2-0 UEC) posted a dominant 27-1 United East Conference win over La Roche University (0-9, 0-3 UEC).
Senior captain
Lily Davison (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) notched her 100th career point with a four-point performance this afternoon with three goals and an assist. Davison is the third Seahawk to tally their 100th career point this season as sophomore midfielder
Colin Horton (University Park, Md./Elizabeth Seton)
collected hers on April 12 and Betch recorded hers on April 1.
How It Happened
- The Seahawks scored 30 seconds in and never stopped, rushing out to an 11-0 lead and a running clock by the time the first quarter ended.
- It was the Piper Show in the second frame as she tallied four of the team's five goals for a 16-0 halftime advantage.
- After St. Mary's stretched its lead to 20-0, Jade Fuccaro put La Roche on the scoreboard with her 11th goal of the season with 2:32 remaining in the third.
- Piper tallied the last goal of the third and first of the fourth to spark a 7-0 run to close out the game.
