How It Happened
- The Seahawks came out firing against nationally-ranked Salisbury, taking a 1-0 lead just 43 seconds into the game as junior attacker Bella Dunigan (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) finished off a pass from sophomore midfielder Colin Horton (University Park, Md./Elizabeth Seton).
- Salisbury responded with back-to-back player-up goals from Riley Hartman and Mary Hanzsche for its first lead of the game, 2-1, at 7:45.
- Senior captain Lily Davison (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) and Horton netted a pair of unassisted goals to send St. Mary's into the second quarter with a 3-2 advantage.
- The Sea Gulls distanced themselves from the hosts with a 10-0 run to boast a nine-goal cushion with 10:01 remaining in the third frame.
- Sophomore attacker Hailey Betch (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) halted SU's run with a player-up goal at 3:27 off a Horton assist.
- Salisbury tacked on two more to end the third and establish a running clock for the final 15:11 of the game.
- The Sea Gulls outscored St. Mary's, 3-1, in the final period as Dunigan notched the Seahawks' final goal of the game with 9:26 to go off an assist from Davison.
