Hershey, PA. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland Men's Tennis team traveled to Hershey, Pennsylvania to take on Penn State Berks in the United East Conference tournament semi-finals at the Hershey Racquet Club. The Seahawks defeated the Nittany Lions on the road 5 - 0 and advanced to the United East Conference Championship.
How It Happened:
Doubles

The Seahawks won all three of their doubles matches, with only four points scored against them.

The pair of Boris Palmade and Stephen Alam dominated the number one doubles spot with a score of 8-2.

Nick Rohr and Daoud Alkhalidi continued the win streak in the number two doubles spot, winning 8-1.

Keawe Johnson and Liam Pratt finished out the third and final doubles spot with an 8-1 win.
Singles

The Seahawks won the two singles matches that were able to be completely played through before the last three were left unfinished.

Boris Palmade swept the number one singles spot in two sets.

Stephen Alam defeated his opponent in the number two singles spot with another 6-0 sweep.

Nick Rohr began the number three singles spot with a 7-5 win. However, the second set went unfinished, as the Seahawks reached 5 unanswered team points which advanced them to the finals.

Keawe Johnson began the number four singles spot with a 6-0 win. The second set was not finished.

Daoud Alkhalidi and Max Esztergomi had no results in the number five and six singles spots, as they did not take place.
Up Next for the Seahawks
The Seahawks will be back in action on Saturday, April 29th for the United East Conference Championship. St. Mary's College will take on the number three seed, Lancaster Bible, Saturday at 11:00 AM for the championship title. On Friday, April 28th, Lancaster Bible beat the number two seed Penn State Harrisburg 5-3. The championship will take place at the Hershey Racquet Club.
